Man...I know and understand how long it takes to do theese videos. Outstanding editing, great macro lens/microscope shots, part number focusing.... WELL DONE. I usually dont subscribe to any channel, but you got my subscription right now ! I’ve seen the “mouse double click” fix movie, and that convinced me for good. Best macro / detail shots i’ve ever seen on youtube. So precise and detailed. Please don’t stop, and don’t give up. When people will find theese videos they will love them. One thing please....there is ALOT of open source music for youtube videos...choose something not that “common”. It’s not bad....but sick of so many “guitar” shit that everyone uses. Thanks alot man ! Keep it up please. What you are doing is GREAT !

Just bought one of these on Amazon. "Open box, Slightly used" Showed up in mint condition and thanks to this video I know it is genuine and I got a good deal.
Thanks, and great silent video!

What an excellent video. Loved seeing the teardown with close up shots of the PCB and the components.

Awesome video! The first part (product demonstration) could easily be used as official demo material.

1:59, what does the back black box do?

EDIT:**NVM, i know what it does now at 15:21, if the soldering iron gets placed in there the spring does its job normally without iron by pushing against the back of the soldering stand, when a iron is in the stand, the button gets pressed telling the soldering station that to go to sleep or something...

What's going to be the standard size/shape tip for general use? The FX951 on Amazon that comes with one tip uses a D16, but the bundle that comes with 5 tips comes with D08, D12, D24, D32 and D52. I believe I read that the FX888D uses a D16 by default.

I think my old workplace used a D24 for soldering 22AWG stranded wire together but I can't really remember if it was that big, or if it just looked that big while tinned. Or would you even recommend going up to a D32?

Which two or three chisel tips would you recommend? I was thinking the D12, D16, and D24. I'll probably only play around with computer keyboard PCBs, RC cars, and electric guitar wiring. Do you think a D08 is too small? Thanks!

If I had to buy only two tips, what kind would be for soldering ordinary through hole components and which for SMD? I looked at Hakko's website and got stupid. There are hundreds of different types of tips, including individual types having many different sizes!

$250 - $300 for a simple variable temperature soldering station that looks like it should be called my first soldering station? I don't think so...
