LEGO Monkey DOME | Barn Animals | Arctic Windows | Zoo Update

In this LEGO City Zoo update, we work on a few different exhibits: barn animals, monkeys, and arctic animals. The monkey exhibit features a dome covering that is made from ladder, s1x2 rounded plates, and various connecters. The viewing windows in the arctic area have been installed, the MILS work was altered, and the plate work was laid. The color of the barn animals exhibit was changed up and details were added!

LEGO is a process. Although you've invested a bit of time and money into the monkey enclosure...it can be better. Those types of enclosures are kind of sad because it exemplifies that these are "caged" animals. The inside of the enclosure looks awesome but it's completely hidden by the ladders. Don't tie yourself down to that concept. You tried it, but lets explore some different ideas.

make the bottom level of ladders glass instead and the top levels can be ladders. That way people can see in the enclosure and the monkeys can still hang onto the top ladders. also it will look less like a bird cage. The inside of the monkey cage looks awesome btw very creative

I really like the dome-shape of your monkey enclosure. And it was a nice touch to enclose the roof as monkeys have been able to climb out of their enclosure.

I think the monkey section is incredibly cool. Personally, I thought it was best the first time I saw it, meaning without the roof. If you make the monkey area like an island, it won’t be a problem to remove the roof since they won’t be able to reach the 'fence.' At the same time, you can see the details and actually notice that there are monkeys there. Anyway, "Bricksieverse" deserved such a round centerpiece, and it captures attention. Great job, Mr. and Mrs. Bricksie!

I wouldn't worry about the height of the fences, those Lego animals will be so happy they will never think about escaping.

Personally I like the monkey enclosure, and if that’s what you like too the go with it. You could maybe switch out a few ladders with glass panels so you can see the monkeys better but all in all it still looks pretty good.

The ladder concept for the monkey enclosure is a very unique and cool design. It's different and stands out and the round shape really adds to its character. I'm not sure why everyone has a problem with it, perhaps they are thinking too realistic and forgetting this is Lego where imagination and fantasy are key components within play/display-ability. Don't change it, it looks amazing!
