It was just a visual bug (and already fixed). I looked at the currency when I completed one and got the ink even though it was showing a scroll on the task

When it occurs THIS frequently, it is no longer a "bug". It's a FEATURE

Folio was elidgable for the rarity fair when I logged on. I don't think that has happened before either.
Do you know what is in the chests yet?
I upgraded my foilio to 4 stars and that is as far as it goes in the shop for scrolls. So the rest have to be from the tcket or the vases.
Oh, it says right in the shop after you get him to 4 stars you can find more in vases. makes no mention of chests.

One of the things you didn't mention about the turtle event is that they finally made the bosses deterministic, so once you find a team at a specific buff level that works, it's always 100% chance for everyone. They seem to have kept this policy for the Folio event.

This is a HUGE quality of life bonus that honestly they didn't "have to" do--it made it possible for me to get the totem fragment on my alt account without spending 100 hours or any real money or emeralds (there was even room for a tiny amount of wiggle room--I ran a total of 7 battles with a sub-optimal setup and still had 3 battles to spare to get the summoning sphere. It was a forced choice for f2ps between the sphere and the maxing the turtles; my main account did spend and got both fully maxed turtles and the summoning sphere, my alt got 4-star red+0 turtles, again, with ZERO emeralds spent during that event, I saved them all for winterfest to funnel mats to my main)

I know Nexters seems really greedy sometimes but credit where credit is due, making the bosses for these events have deterministic battle seeds with auto-only battling is a huge boon for the whole playerbase

(I assume since this is not a sponsored event, it will not be nearly so generous to f2p players as the Turtles event, but it's still good that it can't eat 100 hours of your time by spamming a battle over and over)

got ink with my run and only did it 3 hours of course as usual only got the F2P stuff, but that still a 4 star hero with a bonus 15 stones from the archeology

I already did 3 of the 5. Was wondering why after beating doing the tasks the pay out was so minor.
