I’m excited to see what didn’t necessarily get buffed or nerfed that’ll jump out due to everything else around it getting nerfed/buffed. I think A Muk could be really good with fairies seemingly getting buffed through the roof and ground mostly being nerfed.

If they even nerf Metal Bird, at least compensate it with Night Slash. Having basically 2 nuke moves with the same energy cost is embarassing already, or maybe like Drill Peck or Drill Run, in order to have a decent matchup against Electric resists.

Galarian moltres is gonna be an UL staple with that sucker punch buff. Mienshao finally has a good fast move. Lickylicky and dunsparce ought to be interesting with rollout.

I wish they had nerfed moves by only 5 damage to not completely eliminate pokemon from the meta like Gligar

I'm curious to see how Master League changes tbh. Mud shot nerf has impact on Landorus (and to a lesser extent Groudon which'll probably just run Dragon Tail now). BUT Rhyperior got a huge buff with Mud Slap. So my guess would be that Rhyperior and even possibly Excadrill (it also gets Mud Slap) could be the new Ground type attackers in ML.
ALSO Yveltal, Sucker Punch is a Counter clone now (pre nerf) so I wonder how that'll be. Yveltal is already good into the Necrozma forms, so having a good fast move makes it better into the open ML meta. Astonish on Gholdengo also has potential, though idk if it'll be any good with Mud Slap AND Sucker Punch getting buffed. Lugia is probably just dead, suffering for the sins of Skarmory so rip Lugia.
This season is going to shake the whole game up, so I wonder how things will turn out. Could be better or worse.

My rank 1 Gastrodon is beyond excited for this change! Let's also not exclude the core breaking potential of hecking GRIMER! This update is exactly what the game needed. Seeing the same teams over and over again should hopefully be a thing of the past, and really opens up trainers to get extremely creative.
