I knew vauban was batshit insane ever since I met one in ESO. The dude just summoned a black hole that sucked in and annihilated everything on the map while it was spitting out loads of energy orbs. It was a sight to behold.

Also I was mad lazy so I didn't test cold properly since Professor told me it didnt work BUT After he did a few tests, cold FULL Freeze DOES grant the passive bonus as well, the only one that doesnt work is Blast from his testings.

Warframe has a problem that well-designed stuff doesn't mean it has place in META and comfortable daily use. So many things are good but it's just not easy enough or not having the highest efficiency.

Vauban was the 3rd frame I ever got back when I started in 2014. Been with him in all his ups and downs. For sure one of my top 3 favorite frames of all time

While yes, vauban can utilize synergies and level scaling to do insane damage, i could also hand Rhino a good gun, or be perma invincible with Styanax, or be an AC130 with Jade (which the Arcane buff is going to be hype). Vauban does work, but is the effort needed to make him work worth it aside from just enjoying how the kit plays out? Id agree with a B tier placement. He's functional, but other frames start to win out due to ease of use.

One thing people often forgot, Magnetic treats Overguard the same as Shield. Magnetic proc = more damage vs Overguard. Also deals 3% x Magnetic Stack x Total Overguard/Shield as Elec damage with guaranteed proc on Overguard/Shield break. This makes Vortex as an easy anti-Eximus priming tool

Look just because someone put vauban on THEIR tierlist in b-tier or c-tier doesnt mean you cant play or enjoy them. They give this disclaimer at their beginning of their video everytime and at the end they again state “if you like a certain frame, then absolutely go ahead and play them. Enjoy yourself and explore the possibilities” meanwhile here we have someone berating another person for not diving deeper into 1/58 frames. I think it is fair for tier-list makers to give 5-10-20min of their time to each frame. As it is meant for casual players who might not have progressed deep enough into the game to get to each and every frame, its ins and outs. They are looking for general advice/tips not indept guides.

Having said that. Do i think it is fair that some frames dont get the limelight? No but i dont think we should throw others under the bus for this. Maybe that isnt what you intended but is coming off as doing that.

Other than that. Nice video about a nieche frame. It shows you have done your homework. However Xaku has level scaling too if i am not wrong.

This is just 30 minutes of trying to appeal to people who enjoy niche strategies. That's not inherently a bad thing, but Vauban is barely a B-tier frame, if not a straight-up C-tier. Even if you invest every bit of time and resources into him, his peak performance is on par with a Volt without shards, while still being a clunky, fragile mess.

If you compare him to frames that require little to no investment and can dominate just by mashing keys like dante, Protea, Dagath, or Kullervo it becomes painfully clear that there's almost no reason to pick Vauban. Everything he can do is done infinitely better by others ( Obviously I meant individual things, Like Damage boost or CC or nuke are done better by other frames ), without the need to micromanage every aspect of his kit.

You could take any half-decently invested saryn without shards, Just a regular non umbral mods with a torid and regular forma on a SP hex bounty and outperform a Vauban with five Tauforged shards and a 10-Forma investment. Honestly, not just Saryn—grab a Gauss with a Phenmor or Torid, or a Kullervo spamming abilities while holding E, and you'd outperform Most vaubans.

I don't mean to hate on the creator or anyone who enjoys making these videos or playing Vauban. I actually love Vauban—when he was released, I spent hours grinding for the Oxium needed, back when it took so long that they had to cut the requirement down to a third. But unfortunately, he's just fallen out of favor, and rightfully so. He needs some love to his kit and if they do eventually make him even A tier frame I'll be the first to play him and make him a staple in my loadout.

Vauban is a harder to understand less capped gyre. While the YouTuber brain rot criticism is true, Vauban's popularity is definitely understandable.

If someone wants damage, Vauban's investment, limitations and lack of survivability are hard to justify over (for example) Sevagoth's self-propagating, health-scaling true damage nuke. So people just don't bother unless they don't have anything else better to do in the game.

I subsume out his third ability for dispensary so i can literally spam his powers to constantly shield gate personally and have been doing this since the protea subsume became available.

Also some history you missed. Vector pad used to move all NPC's in the direction of the pad, no matter what. This let you set up traps for enemies to push them into corners or even push defense operatives into safer spot. But DE nerfed them (only to prevent player griefing by the way) so players and NPC's only get boosted if they are moving in the same direction. This has caused bugs where enemies may run on them without it doing anything too, it really sucks now when it used to have a use.
