Also Q range is about Ult range. So you don't wanna rush and Q right away when you want to ult, cause they could change their direction after you Q and Ult. What you should do is: E to the back of enemy, W and then Ult, the enemy will try to leave your ult range if they can't interrupt you, you should wait until they about to leave your ult range then you cast Q, jump E to the back, Q should land to your head right after, you be able to E one more time.

Flash is better in my opinion as you can flash on daggers for early kills

If you're new on Kat and here to learn:
1. PLEASE, KAT IS AN ASSASSIN.
2. HER ULT CAN BE INTERRUPTED.
Thus, don't try to be the first one to charge in.
3. When you pick up the first kill in combat, don't be confuse and throw all daggers out, keep calm, do what you do with your first dagger, effective.

Not always lands same position, for example vs braum, if braum uses E ur Q lands infront of braum . Ur Q dissappears if Yas uses W . But ur W wont dissappear . so its better to start E W or just W when he come close and ult .
