About The Route and Film:
Riders will test their endurance and skills on this epic 1,400-mile backcountry tour of the Northeast Region up to the Canadian border. The tracks wind through 7 states and nearly a dozen state forests on dirt and gravel roads, challenging seasonal and Class IV roads, and twisty tarmac. Expect scenic views, endless forest roads under a canopy of trees, rocky expert-only sections and the highest elevations in the Northeast. Every state delivers a unique adventure riding experience unto itself.

About Backcountry Discovery Routes:
Backcountry Discovery Routes® (BDR®) is a non-profit organization that creates off-highway routes for dual-sport and adventure motorcycle travel. We have introduced a new route with free GPS tracks for the community every year since 2010.

Our work includes rider education, safety campaigns and promoting responsible travel for motorcyclists traveling in the backcountry.

Our volunteer-powered organization works with agencies and land managers to keep trails and remote roads open for motorcycling.

Each route generates new tourism that delivers sustainable economic relief to less-advantaged rural communities. This creates local stakeholders who will help fight to keep access for dual-sport and adventure motorcycles in these incredible backcountry areas.

OK that chick on the 1200 is a straight up G. I'm 5-11 270 (not obease). I sat on a full size adv once. There's no way in fkn hell I'd be doing what she's doing on that bike. Fkn respect. 🤘

Last year I did most of the NH and Maine sections on a Honda PCX 150. Didn't do the Maine ADV sections and MT. Washington doesn't allow scooters. It was pretty slow going but loads of fun. No mechanical issues -probably from going so slow. I'm a fat old guy in my 60s.

IMHO the BDRs are one of America's best gifts to the world.

Amazing to see how the BDR organization has grown over the years. It is incredible how you have created this brand with your passion, dedication and hard work and how far it has come! Congratulations on having established another successful route.. and on continuing to build on this legacy which will impact so many riders and the communities you have brought them to. Kudos to the team and to the legendary Mr. Noren for producing these incredible video stories for us to follow and have a small taste of what we can experience by following your routes. Thank you!! Ride on!!

Beyond the bikes, the views, and the people...comes the true generosity and kindness that all these folks give to make this happen.
Personally I can't wait to complete all the BDRs, and I thank y'all so much for all your hard work.
It's so amazing for all these small towns and the true Mom &Pop establishments, the routes will bring consistent visitors and money to these places that deserve it.
As a father of 2 daughters I absolutely love that there are multiple females on this trip, it's encouraging for so many young women to see this.

Mike Lafferty, from Mauricetown NJ? Family’s been riding east coast/nj enduros for years. I was wondering who was cowboying that KTM off all the rocks! Ktm sponsored a demo day a couple of years ago in Downingtown pa and he was the leader of the pack! Now I recognize him. I was a Delaware Enduro rider and had many a good time in the pine barrons.

A great route. We did a seven day, 3300 km. loop from Picton, On. in June. Big fun, great trails and friendly folks.

Maybe BDR could create an app so riders could plan routes/link together, in real time pinpoint spots on the route that maybe closed/blocked etc etc. could be very neat and helpful and get people out there that may be hesitant to otherwise. I would definitely use it. Maybe there’s already such a thing?

I'm in the North Eastern corner of Vermont I've been scouting the class 4 roads around here for a while. There's lots of good riding in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans counties too. I ordered the map and am going to try some day/overnight trips this year. Excellent video production! Thank you!

I dig the hard stuff. Don't ever take out the gnarly sections. Some of us live for those. The big boys can reroute if need be. That's where the excitement is! Good stuff. Love the rides and well produced.

I love seeing the BDR running right through my backyard. I've lived in upstate NY, near the MA line, my entire life, and it's awesome to see so many familiar places that I've enjoyed for years also being enjoyed by BDR riders.
Thank you for coming to the Northeast!
