I’ve never recognized the similarities between this parable and Paul’s metaphor. Pure gold. Thank you

I've seen Psalm 68:2 used to support the annihilation theory too.

When I was a Jehovah's witness I believed in annihilationism and it tormented me a lot. Eventual universalism is a much much more comforting and sensible teaching then annihilationism is.

I'm probably getting more info from these videos than my 2 years at Grace Bible College. LOL. If I had known about these teachings, I probably could've saved some money. They surely didn't teach this!

Agree with this, but couldn't someone quote Romans 9:6 and say "not all who are descended from Israel are Israel?"

Can you please do a series about backsliders please? There's quite a few folks like myself who are trying to return to the faith yet some scriptures seem to point that's it is impossible. This is a huge topic, please help if you have time.

Can you support your notion that the parable of the vine does not teach annihilationism without using scriptures written by Paul?

Great message... thanks! BTW... Paul never calls us disciples as Jesus called His followers when He addressed the Jews, which helps us differentiate between the Kingdom gospel and our gospel of grace.

Scripture speaks of only two types of “Salvation “, or being “saved / healed;”:

1 the true and ultimate, actual Salvation from sin and death in Adam, for all mankind that are condemned in Adam, Including all curses, judgments, etc, a factual and total Salvation that ONLY comes about via Yeshua and Him crucified and resurrected.
Grace, fate, belief, acceptance, knowledge, etc. have nothing to do with this type. Sinful men and women, which is everyone ever created, do not participate whatsoever.
“ it is finished“.

2 The kind of “salvation“ that comes about as soon as one is enlightened and made aware of the first type via fate, belief, through grace, acceptance, knowledge, etc and therefore, one becomes “saved / healed “from the darkness and lies of this world, from their own perspective, even though they were already actually “ Saved” from eternal death in Adam under the first type, but we’re totally unaware of it until YA enlightened them.

Context will determine which type is in view in any given passage.

You had to exegete another passage of scripture in order to interpret a parable. This does not seem like good hermeneutics. The question is whether or not Jesus is teaching annihilation ism within the context of the parable which He is giving.

I'd like to hear more about Peter's statement that the gospel was preached even to those now dead. I heard a guy the other day say that Peter was just saying that some people who heard the gospel have since died. I don't really see the point of Peter saying that, in that interpretation, as it's kinda like saying the sky is blue or water is wet. Yes, people tend to die as time passes, we all know that.

"All Israel shall be saved" because the tiny percentage of Israelites that followed the Messiah = "all Israel". They are the true Israel and the rest are *not* Israel at all, but apostates: "the synagogue of Satan, which lie and say they are Jews and are not".

Because while they may be Abraham's physical seed they aren't his *children* ; because Satan is their spiritual father, and they take after hiim.

Physical Gentiles can be grafted into this "true Israel" by imitating Abraham's faith and obedience.

Paul was merely expressing hope that the apostates will repent, mot declaring the certainty of their salvation.
