I seen a big Muskie jump out of the water trying to catch birds that were on branches of a tree that had fallen into the water. Pretty cool

There's plenty of food in and just above those rivers. Congo river basin and Lualaba river are home to the Goliath Tiger fish. They are said to grow up to 6 feet, over 150 lbs. Personally, I think they are more like a fresh water barracuda than a piranha. The Goliaths will attack people, many deaths have been reported. They are known to eat small crocodiles like candy, and take bites out of larger ones. It is said the only thing that can take a large Goliath Tiger fish, is a large crocodile. There are other types of Tiger fish that can be found pretty much in any of the big rivers and lakes in Africa. Zambezi, Kabombo rivers. And definitely along the Jozzini dam. There is some great fishing in Africa. However, not all of the 50 plus individual countries that make up Africa are safe, especially for foreign tourists.

Tiger fish is NOT the danger in African rivers, where you find Tiger fish you also find an abundance of fresh water Crocodiles !

45 + years in the fish keeping game and that is one out of two fish I never truly understood until I saw it in one of my aquariums. They are the fastest physical presence I ever seen in my life. Not an advisable fish to keep for an average fish keeper. One of the reasons it got dropped off my lap. They like to hang out with the feeder fish.
