let me just say this about that. in the 30's and 40's, this shit was going on in the movie industry. One of my best friends moved to California, to become "a star". She was a gorgeous young girl. He husband had been shot down over Germany, a pilot, body never recovered. She had an infant child to raise. The studio took her...she was "stabled" at I want to say Warner Bros. with 20 other starlets. They were told what to eat, what to wear..from the lipstick they wore, to their hair style. They were not allowed their own money. They were told who to date, who could be their friends..and the trading that went on between the studios. MGM wanted this one, Paramount needs that one..and the proverbial "casting couch" was real. The parties..she got out after a year..and never looked back. She passed away two years ago. I wanted her to write a book. But she was afraid of them. Even after 60 years.

It’s insane to me that people can still believe celebrities like Rihanna are just living an honest, rich, and free life.. especially after the evils of Hollywood are finally being exposed.. all of these A listers are in a prison. What she is saying is common sense. Unless you run the business without shareholders, sponsors etc. you are a prisoner of all the people who own a slice of your cake. Also many end up selling the business when it’s at its high peak of success and prefer to cash in the money, give away all the stress that comes with a big business and just want to have a say and do promotion work. That’s not a big deal and Jaguar ain’t saying nothing special or new in this case. Everyone in this world is in a prison of family, financial or health circumstances, love, emotional, mental or all of it. Jaguar herself is in a prison of the things she went through, empathy for people in same circumstances, the pursuit of redemption and probably other things.

So I used to work at Sephora which is where Fenty was created and is housed currently aside from Ulta. Normally these newer cosmetic brands like Kat Von D for example are owned by the Kendo brands. So this is very much accurate. The celebrities are the face of the brand and yes they may have full creative direction and creative input but that’s it. Your name, face and overall likeliness is what sells the brand. This is why the full line is only at Sephora and only certain products are sold at other retailers like Ulta. Kendo is now independent from Sephora but operates under their larger umbrella which is LVHM aka Louis Vuitton Hennessy Moët. But I love me some Fenty lipgloss and that’s it. 😂😂😂
