Researchers discover new human organ

Researchers say they have discovered an organ called "mesentery" that is part of our digestive system -- and it's been hiding in plain sight for centuries. Assistant Professor of Medicine University of North Carolina's division of cardiology, Dr. Kevin Campbell, joins CBSN to talk about the new organ.

I realize Dr. Campbell is, as you stated, is a medical professor, but he's in the cardiology division. Why wouldn't you interview a doctor who specializes in the digestive system??? It's like going to an orthopedic doctor to discuss your kidney function.

This was discovered in 2012 - old news. It was first published in "The Surgeon" in Aug 2013 by Prof JC Coffey.The Professor then republished it in "The Lancet" in Nov 2016, which is probably why it has had a resurgence.

Why do humans regardless of so called qualifications always get things wrong? There ain't no such thing as an expert it's just a term we use to make ourselves more egotistical.
