Tonight we continue to track Fred and Grace.

The NHC has elected to no longer call Fred a Tropical System, but the remnants are still being watched for re-formation. Fred may be able to spin back up over the warm Gulf of Mexico waters in the next 48 hours, before a landfall Monday night, likely along the MS or AL coastlines. Heavy rain will be the primary threat for Fred, both at the coast and inland. This one isn't likely to get very strong, but it might take some folks off-guard. Please respect the system and keep a close eye on it, the rainfall will be no joke.

Meanwhile, TS Grace has slowly organized today, but remains a low end TS. Her forward speed is too fast for any significant development, cruising along at 26mph. Grace also slipped south of expectations, and now will either track over Hispaniola or south of there, this week, and what sort of storm makes it to the Gulf of Mexico later this week is a big deal. If Grace is well put together, the potential for a Hurricane strike on the US Gulf Coast goes up. If she's weak, she might just drift off and not bother anyone. She's worth watching carefully, but it's too early to say on this one.
