its not about political parties, nobody should care if you are republican or democrat, that is the gang mentality that keeps people from achieving real progress.
instead of neogotiating terms that seem reasonable, this segregation has made it nearly impossible to settle on anything. it doesnt help people are so opinionated with their ideology, if people cannot control societies culture by their own means, political authority will soon be the outcome of the civil unrest.

It actually began as The Republican Party and The Federalist Party in the late 1700's. The Democratic-Republican Party rose in 1800. However, following the War of 1812, members of that same party were divided over which candidate was to succeed President Monroe. Andrew Jackson and Martin Van Buren formed the separate Democratic Party less than 1/4 of the way into the 19th Century.
