That young man is my son. So proud of his bravery and expertise when under pressure.

I worked at Cape Canaveral and the Kennedy Space Center between 1990 and 2011. In the early 90's I was working on the Delta pads and was on their "Red Team" during one of their launches. We were called to go to the pad to mop up some liquid that control had spotted on the launch pad "directly under the rocket". She was locked and loaded and ready to launch. I will never forget looking up and seeing that beast pulsing, breathing and swaying slightly in the ocean breeze. I was scared shitless...

Two things:
Not everyone gets to be an astronaut.
The most important person in a circus is the guy who follows the elephants.

Takes a lot of courage to walk up to possible explosion from 730, 000 gallons of liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen propellant, not to mention what is in storage tanks .👍

These guys show that space flight isn't just about the scientists who get all the glory. All missions off our planet wouldn't happen without the work of highly skilled blue collar workers. Space exploration is for all

Great job, guys. Grab a Klondike bar before you go home.
I used to do work like that, and I retired with everything intact.
Reminds me of the Babylon 5 ep titled "A View From The Gallery".

Kid sounds like he couldn’t fix a flat tire on a Ford Fiesta. How the hell is he a rocket mechanic? Or maybe it’s all BS! Wake up people.
