Kornacki: New poll shows Harris with tight lead in North Carolina

Early in-person voting begins today in North Carolina. A new poll shows Vice President Harris with a tight lead over former President Trump in the battleground state. NBC News’ Antonia Hylton is on the ground there to report more. MSNBC’s Steve Kornacki is at the Big Board with more.

Lifelong Republican here I attended the 2000 and 2004 GOP conventions. I have never voted for a democrat in my life. That changes in November.

It was 41 degrees and windy in Cabarrus Country NC this morning. Polls opened at 8:00. I got there at 8:20 and stood in line for two hours before getting my chance in a booth/kiosk, with almost the entire two hours standing outside. The line was longer when I left. I wouldn't be shocked, if like GA, NC doesn't set an early voting record as well.
