Ok I’ve seen a lot of controversy around this video, so let me explain it to anyone who doesn’t understand.
You see, Okuyasu actually turned himself into a pickle. Him being a pickle but still containing the mind of Okuyasu would warrant a name combing the best elements of both words, Pickle and Okuyasu. This led to the name Pickleyasu.
Now where the video gets interesting, is that after Okuyasu thought about being a pickle and adopted the name Pickleyasu, he decided it was a topic interesting enough to tell Josuke. The reason he told Josuke in particular is because it’s shown many times through out Diamond Is Unbreakable That Josuke and Okuyasu are best friends.
To get Josuke’s attention, Okuyasu, now using the name Pickleyasu, uses the phrase “Oi”, which essentially means “Hey”, followed by Josuke’s name, so he can know that he is being addressed.
After getting Josuke’s attention Okuyasu confirms to Josuke that he has become Pickleyasu, for the reasons I explained in my second Paragraph.
This is extremely funny in the eyes of Okuyasu, prompting him to tell Josuke that he should laugh, since laughter is a common sign of finding something humorous
