Samsung N150 RAM Upgrade and taking apart

It is. I installed a larger capacity HDD from another laptop, and it was 2.5'. I went from 250GB to 500GB in about 30 minutes. It actually makes the Samsung a nice little travel computer. I've got my iTunes on there (over 100GB collection) and 200GB of movies.

Yes you can. When I upgraded the 500GB drive to a 750GB 7200 RPM drive in my big Gateway laptop which used a standard laptop drive, I had a perfectly good 500GB laptop drive left over. Following these directions, I swapped the 250GB drive out for the 500GB drive. Just be careful. Make yourself a full set of bootable recovery DVDs and get an external drive BEFORE you swap drives. You'll save a lot of headaches and your re-install will go much faster.

On the Samsung N150 plus can you replace the 5400 rpm with a 7200 rpm 2.5 hard drive or doesn’t carry enough ram to make that change over thanks for your time

@tsanjadee The amount of ram is irrelevant. Yes you can put in a 7200 rpm drive, provided you don't get one which is too large physically.

@DavidLeonFeild It really really doesn't make much of a difference. I do it all the time. There is no danger of damaging components unless the computer is sleeping, in which case the RAM is still powered. If it's off, however, there is no danger of any damage occurring.

the new model of this netbook probably has one of the best keypad you can get for an netbook

all netbooks that are intel atom based can only update to 2gb of ram...the stock speed is 667mhz pc5400 or 5300
battery life is pretty good
