i've been riding motorcycles for over 40 years, and in my (lengthy - meaning old, lol) experience, lane splitting is actually safer for 2 wheelers when practiced responsibly: it gets you out of the cage parade so you don't have to deal with the oblivious cage pilots who are not paying attention! everytime i get on my bike someone tries to kill me - usually within a mile of my house. i don't even bother getting pissed off anymore. split the lane, get out in front AND STAY THERE!

As an apartment dweller I've never been tempted to own an EV because of the lack of home charging infrastructure. Being able to take the batteries inside is a huge plus. This looks very tempting.

This is really interesting, even on the more powerful of the 3 modes and avoiding dropping below 15%, this still can travel 85km with a decent speed. This would be more than enough for most cities, which is where scooters are designed to be. Not the cheapest scooter to buy, but would be really cheap to run. It is great to see more choices of ways to get around!

Wow - always professional - detailed and straight to the point - interesting too . Great to see e-Scooters becoming main stream - way over due - nice job 👍

Makes a person want to explore that part of the world if one is not from there 🙂

Nice review Micah, even if some of the products might not be where I’m at in this moment, it’s a entertaining “ride along” as you navigate listeners with your experience & thoughtful insight.

Micah...you are the best at these reviews. Also, what a beautiful place you've chosen to call home.

Excellent job on the review! We've been test riding the NIU NQi GT (NGT) out of our electric scooter store (Motor Pony Electric) in Vancouver, Canada for the past month and it has been amazing! Our city is really hilly and this is the 1st scooter that we have tried that can truly handle the hills and keep up to traffic. It looks good, is well made, thoughtful functional design and smart system. Considering what you get for the price, it is great value.

Smart check feature is really cool. Also great that the batteries come up so easily.

I ride one of these things multiple times a week since it's one of the scooters that Revel uses in their fleet. I really love it.

I have that scooter, too, and it's really wonderful, even on the hills! And I love to see it in Tel Aviv, one of my fav places !!

Great video. Covered it all! What a great scooter too! I'm a recent electric vehicle convert. Just bought an e bike and I've been riding motorcycles and scooters for years but this scooter is great! Thanks for the info!

Rented one of these in Sardinia last week - absolutely loved it. I live in an apartment in the US, so the removable batteries are a game-changer. Hope to find a dealer when I return.

I'm very excited about this scooter. The speed and range puts it into serious car replacement territory for me, while most affordable electric scooters feel much more comparable to ebikes. Would love to see these take off in the US.

These NIU are a great way for scooter-sharing. Here in Malta there are two such companies and both use one of the NIU scooter model. Great way to get around especially for a small country like Malta where the distance to anywhere is around 7-9miles single-way. Micah always gives honest reviews about anything he has his hands on. But he sure gets around, I've just seen his CSC Yellow scooter review and that's filmed in Florida and uploaded on Feb 5th.

Just got mine yesterday! Great review and information the 15% battery slow down was very helpful.

Got a SHAD 29 top box fitted to mine with the backrest option. Wife loves it as she can store small rucksack stuff in it, inc her helmet (large modular) when I pick her up! They are superb bikes and the FOC Battery Management System (bms) and app integration is like ‘why don’t cars or other bikes have this’? It’s the future battery in the house or charged on the bike. Also I have the NIU Windscreen (wind shield for Americans lol) that is just a delightful option.

Great review as usual, Micah. Still eager to hear see you do a review of the CSC Wiz since it has comparable specs to the NIU but is 1/3 cheaper.

It's been many years but I've driven in Tel Aviv. You're a brave man riding a scooter there. I have to wonder what time must you do the videos to see such light traffic. Old Jaffa is beautiful and the roads were fine for the Romans. Everyone should visit Tel Aviv & Old Yaffa. What an amazing polarity with ultra modern and ancient within walking distance of each other.
Oh yeah, the scooter was cool too;)
