Garmin Forerunner 255 Won't Charge - Quick Fix

Here's how to fix a Garmin Forerunner 255 that won't charge.

Holding the light button down for 10 seconds, and then holding it down for 2 seconds after releasing it got my forerunner to power on when it was seemingly bricked. Thanks!

Wasn’t aware of the light button reset. Watch wouldn’t turn on no matter what I did but must of gone into sleep mode after two weeks. Appreciate your video and help!

I see that the 265 has been announced despite the 255 only having been out for a year. Previous watches have had a longer life. Does that imply that the 255 is considered a failure?

The last tip worked for me. It's my 3rd Garmin and charging has always been a little sketchy with them.

Thank you! Mine showed it was charging but never went past 85%. Tried the forced restart and when it booted back up it was at 100%

I am still facing issues. My watch is already discharged and Hard restart showed the triangle but not actually started my watch. I connected my watch with power bank for more then 2 hours but no response.
Any suggestions please ?
