Google's AI Assistant Can Now Make Real Phone Calls

Google showed off its Assistant having a humanlike conversation with someone at a hair salon and a small restaurant. Google CEO Sundar Pichai explains Google Duplex at Google I/O.

I actually had Google duplex call me asking the business hours of my store once. It was only after I hung up that I realised what had just happened. So bloody cool. In the moment I had no idea.
