Vanquish looks completely different to DB12 and Vantage.

All three Aston models are completely different at the rear, the fronts have the family look and their lights and bonnet vents are different. The Vanquish looks incredible.

Vanquish looks very different! The extended wheel base gives it a much more sophistated side profile and the rear end design is awesome. Oh and the small matter of 835ps!

I’m sure the irony of a Porsche driver saying all Astons look the same isn’t lost on you Pete 😂

Sounds like you're criticising the Vanquish for looking like an Aston Martin? The new Vanquish styling is a triumph and one of modern AM's most distinctive and well resolved efforts to date.

they are extremely different design wise. I'm crazy about last generation of Astons, it's night and day different to the DB11 era, but for the flagship, i was expecting something a bit more like the last DBS Superleggera, so yes, perhaps i am a bit disappointed, but i will get used to the design and love it unconditionally.

Let’s be honest we’d all be over the moon and in heaven if we had an Aston Martin Vanquish in the garage…. That says all you need to know 😊

I think you're so right to mention McLaren not fully supporting Lando. McLaren had the most brand destructive team order to fix a win for Oscar and now they're making it worse by refusing to acknowledge that lando is the number 1 driver, he's nearly 50 points ahead of Oscar and nearly 50 points behind Max. Idiocy would be the only reason to not throw everything behind Lando and be secure in the knowledge Oscar will not be far behind to bag the constructor.

Re the Vanquished, to my eyes, it’s very distinctive compared to the DB12 and Vantage. And it has a V12. To be fair, I can struggle to distinguish between the previous model range: DB9, DBS and Vanquish from certain angles. Not the case with the current range.

The Vanquish is a thing of exquisite beauty FULL STOP

It doesn't need to look hugely different. OK, it has a different name, but so what? It has a V12. That's all that matters, really.

Yes Aston Martin have always had this problem most notably the DB9 Vantage Virage Vanquish generation, its almost impossible to tell them apart, seems they are repeating the same mistake this generation. they all follow the same front engined glass lights and grill design. I was hoping for some kind of budget ValhallaI mid engined affair, especially since they were hinting that, when they revealed the Valhalla and the Valkyrie.

This generation I really dislike the DB11/12 look, the rear end on that car is terrible, its a big fat box with (from certain angles) lopsided rear pillars with fiddly plastic bits jammed in every available slot. whenever I see it I think it looks like some kind of 1990's chevrolet concept car. so although the rear end on this vanquish looks a billion times better than the DB11/12, the other numerous similarities with a car I don't much like, really dampens my enthusiasm for this car.

I think mclaren have the best chance to win the constructors, but I don’t think lando will win the drivers championship unless mclaren start team orders.

It looks very different to me, proportions are all different. Air intakes etc and rear end obviously is very different . Not sure about this critism.

You're not mistaken. I was in Geneva when Aston unveiled the mid-engine Vanquish concept as a kind of baby Valhalla. It died when Andy Palmer left. It was to compete with the likes of the 720s and F8 Tributo at the time.

I have to agree with you about Aston Martin they all look alike Even the DB12 looks like a DB11 especially from the rear I drive a 2014 XK and it looks like an Aston They are stuck in a groove and need a change

Watching this 2 weeks late and it’s striking how Oscar is closing the gap to Lando quicker than Lando is to Max. One more less than ideal weekend for Lando and it’s possible that McLaren may have to prioritise Oscar and going by his recent form, he is more than capable of taking the fight. I feel we are gearing up for another Abu Dhabi showdown which will appeal to the Netflix era.

I lived in Abu Dhabi 2018 to 2021 and with my wife spent most winter weekends driving and camping in the deep desert in small organised groups (check out Desert Diva!) usually far to the south beyond the Liwa Crescent and quite often across the border into Oman from the north right down to Salalah in the south. What was very obvious was that there were “city” Patrols & Landcruisers and “real” versions which could take anything the desert could throw at them. The former were incredibly comfy - as comfy as armchairs really, and the latter would get you out of any trouble from soft sand to wadi boulders. Will be interesting to see what type of Patrol you’re showing on your next vid! Love the content!

Looking forward to Friday's video. I spent 10 years in the 1990's working in the middle east. I never got used to how hot it gets.... HOT!

My next car will be another Aston. I enjoyed my Vantage and they're one of the few manufacturers who won't force you to carry around half a ton of batteries.
