if anyone is wondering why you dont have any left after trying to collect them all

according to the wiki -
Three of them are used to reactivate each Damaged Ruin Guard, therefore, only fifteen are needed to reactivate the five guards. Remaining Lost Energy Blocks will be removed from the player's inventory and world after reactivating the fifth Damaged Ruin Guard.

After collecting 10 of these during my journey around Sumeru, I might as well look into this vid and see what this quest is all about haha! I might have had forgotten all about this, so... yeah.

This is best guid I found. I had problem being unable to LOAD energy block into golem. This vdo explained that v must first free a RUIN SENTRY by destroying bolder vit dendro.then follow it which leads to another flying ruinguard.After killing both, a chest vil appear nd now u vil b able to LOAD energy block into golem.THANKU SO MUCH .

Evidently if you don't collect an extra block before loading the blocks to all of the ruin guards any remaining blocks (likely since they won't be needed anymore) will despawn (so any investigate spot that would reward an extra one will disappear).

Great video very helpfull, small note, before turning in the last 3, i had 8 energy blocks in my inventory, meaning there were actually 20 in total, not 19, no idea where i picked them up because i already had several before finding this video, thank you for the help ^_^

i was missing 1 block (had 18) and then collected the 5 ruin guards, but finding the last block was impossible and the 3 extra that i had vanished from my inventory.

I had all 19 and used 15 of them on those ruin guards (also got the achievement) and now the extra ones are GONE??

Do I need to collect those again, will they disappear after I don't need them anymore or is it a bug?

That’s weird, I loaded them, left with 4 too, but didn’t get the achievement.

After you finish the quest and get the achievements don’t go for the extra they disappear 🫠

So I have 7 extra, and I’ve checked each ruin guard twice, and I released each of the ruin guards from the rocks, am I missing something?

i loaded four of the five ruin guards, but it wont let me load the last one (i have three energy blocks)
edit: looks like i did them in the wrong order... but theres no way to take them out

Why not just collect all the energy block then the ruin guards
