Love my Lakewood M-1. It was the most basic model they made, but it's still incredible. So well made, and has a bone nut and saddle, ebony bridge pins, etc.. top quality stuff!

I was thinking about getting a good guitar a couple of years ago and talked about it with a guy while at a guitar workshop. My plan was to save for a year and buy myself something high quality for my birthday. He said no, buy it now, a good guitar will give more back and encourage you to play more. I chewed it over for a couple of weeks after I got home and then bought myself a Lakewood M18CP.

And he was absolutely right. I made two great decisions that day, to buy a good guitar straight away and to make it a Lakewood. Just opening the case before playing it still makes me think wow. It really is a thing of beauty. And the way it plays? Just as beautiful. Well, in better hands than mine anyway : )

I really don't think Lakewood are expensive, not for what they offer in the way of quality and sound. Divide that price by how long you'll have the guitar, the hours of pleasure you'll get from it and it becomes a bargain.

If you're thinking of buying one, just do it, you'll never regret doing so.

Also als Gitarrist und ehemaliger Schreiner bin ich voll der Ästhet. Die Gitarren sehen traumhaft aus.
Kann absolut nicht verstehen, wie man mit einer Gitarre so umgehen kann wie Wallis Bird es tut. Für mich absolutes NoGo! Schon aus Respekt vor der Arbeit des Meisters der sie gebaut hat, würde ich eine Lakewood niemals so derb behandeln. Ddshalb bekommt meine Gitarren nur jemand in die Hand, der denselben Respekt für das Instrument aufbringt wie ich.
By the way, tolles Video uber tolle Gitarren und tolle Handwerkskünstler. Ja das sind nicht nur Handwerker, Gitarrenbauer sind Künstler!!!😍👏👍👌

A few years back, after my visit on a Friday with Martin and his team showing all their enthusiasm and professionalism, coming from their hearts and a true belief in their vision, I strongly felt the wish to become a part of this family. Now I can feel (and hear) this "umbilical cord", Markus is mentioning in the movie, every time I hold my M-14 Custom ("Schneeflöckchen") in my hands...

Ein schönes Video. Über die Werkstattschau habe ich mich dann erst recht für eine Lakewood custom made entschieden. Würde ich heute wieder. War mehr als überzeugend. Und diese Vielfalt ist einfach überwältigend. Kann jedem, der sich für eine Lakewood entscheidet vorher auch eine Werkstattbesichtigung empfehlen. Da gibt es nochmal den richtigen Input. Super!
