Faiz Ahmed (Founder, Macro Pakistani) helps us understand the twin deficits crisis faced by Pakistan and how macro-economic policy impacts capital markets.

Faiz is a current MBA candidate at Harvard Business School and recently launched Macro Pakistani, a data driven research platform that aims to provide a basic understanding of Pakistan’s economy. With the platform, he aims to help people make more sense of the news and political rhetoric by sharing a simple understanding of macroeconomics and breaking down economic data on Pakistan into bite-sized digestible pieces. His education in economics at the Lahore University of Management Sciences helps him understand relevant concepts while his experience as a Management Consultant at Bain & Company allows him to break those concepts down into digestible pieces. His stints at the International Finance Corporation and the State Bank of Pakistan have also developed his familiarity with the perspectives of policy makers in Pakistan.
