Michigan Republicans walk out of session Friday

Every Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives walked out of session today after they say House Democrats refused to negotiate over keeping the state's tipped wage system.

I still think it’s nuts. I gave the Applebee’s employee the rest of my change as well as a $20 tip. He slammed on my table and said that’s not enough. In Sturgis Michigan after his psychotic meltdown and screaming, I decided never to go back to Applebee’s.

People can still tip, if they want. Some days those servers are there making less than $3.00 an hour, without any business. So Yea, they should be paid more.

Talk about cheap political stunts Dem's. It's hard to find a decent sit-down restaurant now, and by raising the wage we'll see more restaurant closures. BTW, Whitmer should be giving back every penny she's ever been paid since she's done nothing for MI.

Wait a minute. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't they elected officials representing the voters. Appears that service industry workers want the same as it is now, TIPS. Maybe no tax on tips but not sure that's fair. The good service workers can make way more. The crappy ones would love hourly to go up.
