Hello from Australia. Quite a while ago I joined a short 6 week watercolour course with our local adult education college, happily I managed to convince my parents; now 77 & 78 years young, to come along with me. Once completed I suggested we continue to get together one night per week, where one of us makes a soup, and whilst eating said soup we watch some youtube tutorials I’ve chosen. Other family members have been joining us more recently, with an average of a 75km round trip to get here, (small journey in Aus really!) we are now joined on and off by sisters, daughters, sons, cousins and partners of all. The amount of soup we now make some nights would feed a small army… and does.
We are now heading into our sixth year of enjoying shared creativity amidst quality family time. Between us we have done hundreds of paintings.
I found your tutorials around 4 months ago and you are a huge favourite for all. Your videos are amusing (priority), you describe and demonstrate so well, and all the extra helpful things like paint list and line drawings on your website just add to our wonderful evenings.
Paul, a huge Thank You from us all for the time you take, your generosity of spirit in sharing your knowledge and just the sheer ‘personableness’ of you is so appreciated.
A very happy and safe 2021 to you and yours.

This 89 year old lady has just started painting and love your instructions. And I love your work, thank you for sharing your talents with me.This picture is way beyond my ability so far, but I enjoy watching you work, and I do pick up information I can use at my beginner level. I am awaiting your book and will devote what time I have left to study as you instruct.

As a Scotsman myself a bit of bagpipe would have gone down a treat but the soothing Celtic music was a nice alternative :) Thank you so much for the video Paul.

Wow! I Love paintings of boats and (trying) to paint them(Must be cause I live in the Desert) . This one is a stunner! And that background amazing! Never heard anything quite like that. You always amaze me with the final product . You teach many things" Oh Wise One"....Art, music, humor, drink mixology and sometimes just plain Magic! (Never fashion though and that's good🤣) We all appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos and the inspiration they provide . Thank You!

89 year old Norma's comment below must make you feel very good. What a blessing to be such a blessing. God Bless. (Oh, and of course, the painting was excellent.)

I'm learning more than I realize when watching your tutorials. Sketch, composition, focus, value, color, technique, material, inspiration, detailing suggestions, and more to turn a painting into an art. The jokes such as the wrong year at the end of the tutorial is very refreshing. Thanks Paul, you are definitely among the best.
