Jim Acosta Doctored Video Split Screen

I downloaded the video that Sarah Huckabee-Sanders tweeted and the original video from C-Span, and put them side by side. Before uploading, I went through the video frame-by-frame, and it is abundantly clear to me that the version Sanders shared was altered. It's a quick alteration, you probably won't be able to see it at full speed, but it is clearly there when you compare the two videos carefully. The video on the left pauses Acosta's movement at one point and then speeds it up a moment later, making it seem like he pushed her arm down much more aggressively than the simple nudge that actually happened.

You might notice some moments where Acosta's hand on the left video is blurry, and the one on the right is not. Those are the points where whoever made the video that Sanders shared sped it up so that it would look more like an attack than it actually was.

Annoyingly, the SHS video seems to be made up of one half (actually one quarter) of the original frames (60fps), which the C-SPAN video on YouTube seems to be made up of the other half, so the two videos are always going to show some differences.

The SHS version definitely "stutters" at the "chop" though.

Nice work, Tim. In the video description it appears that you have mixed up left and right.

"The video on the right pauses Acosta's movement at one point and then speeds it up a moment later, " - Should be left.

"You might notice some moments where Acosta's hand on the right video is blurry, and the one on the left is not." - Should be left and then right.
