Let's hope the SLS launches as few times as possible, because it's overpriced. NASA is for pushing the edge of the envelope of what we can do; at this point in history, and thanks to the pioneering of NASA and other large space agencies, getting things into orbit is easily done by commercial spacecraft, which do it much more cost-effectively.
Falcon Heavy has 66% the payload capacity, for a cost of $150 million. EACH of the _four_ SLS engines costs over $100 million, and each of the two boosters costs another ~$200 mil.
We could get SIX FH launches, for FOUR TIMES the total payload, for the cost of a single SLS launch. If this is Boeing and others' idea of saving money, I'd hate to see their premium prices.
