Fabulous!! Sarah should play the role in the film version!

I saw both Sarah and the alternate Norma, Silvie Palldino. Both were sensational and both were different. Silvie matched more to what I had expected having listened to Patti and Glenn recordings, and Sarah puts her own spin on it. Both amazing though. I wish people would stop being haters, Sarah is smashing it, and the audiences at the actual shows love it.

This really isn't as bad as people are making it out to be. It's just different from what one is used to hearing from Norma Desmond. As for her acting, I can't really judge a minute long clip, but Sarah has never been known to be a great actress. No surprise there when people call her "wooden". Her voice has clearly aged, there's nothing wrong with that, she's putting her own spin into the character. She recorded "With One Look" for an album years ago opera style, in Italian and it was lovely. Sarah is still very much capable of belting, so the head voice is an obvious choice she made. Anyways, it's Sarah Brightman, people either love her or hate her.

Sarah has such a sweet voice and I think people are having a hard time associating Norma with “sweet.” Sarah is a lovely woman who’s earned her place on stage. Some might like; some might not. That’s okay. Let just not disparage the work and talent of someone who has been in the biz for over 50 years.

I saw this show live. I saw both Sarah and her alternate, Silvie. Sarah was working hard, all respect to that, but vocally Silvie was a MUCH better match for Norma. You could hear Sarah struggling with the songs. Her acting actually wasn't bad.

Also, if I'm not mistaken, this promo is lip synced to a recording.
