Piano = Meditation. It's not about right vs. wrong, not about rule-following. It's about getting in touch with your true nature. The journey, not the destination.

NGL, this is one of my favourite piano channels out there. I've been dealing with self doubt a lot concerning the piano, especially since I can't afford lessons anymore. but you've really inspired me to keep going and try to pick up the piano again. btw your casual sarcasm is hilarious

fun fact: beethoven made fur elise for a girl for her to play since its easy and simple and sounds good, but halfway of making the song he found the girl with another man so he made the rest of the song harder so she couldnt play it

Frequently Asked Questions

❓️ "I have no idea how to play piano. Where do I start?"

❓️ "Is this video a joke? Is it satire?"

No. It's just a quick beginner tutorial.

❓️ "But this doesn't sound like how my grandmother played Für Elise. Do you have a mental disorder?"

Actually, this video is a direct attack on your grandmother.

❓️ "What piano do you have?"

This is a Yamaha YDP-223 digital piano. It's old but they make newer models that are similar. I paid around $1500 for it in 2006

Ironically this is something Ravel and other more “experimental” composers would do. The idea of disjunct register shift
