The pin in the drawer, which comes out when you turn it upside down does make sense because when you turn the whole box upside down all the pins would be in the "solution position" (flush with the top of the box). The pin in the drawer then comes out and prevents you from pulling the drawer out. It's basically an anti-cheat pin.

I half expected mr puzzle to accidentally solve it while shifting it around nonchalantly explaining the puzzle... he's just that good lol

10:48 It very much makes sense, because if the 5th pin was not there all you would have to do to open the box is turn it upside down. The 5th pin stops that from happening. When you turn it upside down all 4 pins retract, but the 5th pin engages, so it doesn't open.

Think that pin was there so you can't open it by flipping it upside down, setting the other pins, but u setting the safety

"How would you name this puzzle? ... only one possibility"
Yes, of course there's only one! Pawn Puzzler!
"Chess Box"
Oh...

I would prefer to not have a membership version of your channel, but maybe a second channel for behind-the-scenes stuff. Like it would be neat to see your displayed collection, filming equipment, how you edit, any other items that aren't puzzle related or too big to show on these vids, that sort of thing

The pin on the drawer is there because otherwise you could just turn it upside down and open the drawer. An anti-tampering mechanism basically.

11:40 Difficulty Level 2
Is this the first puzzle with two difficulty levels? 🙂

Oh wow! Mr. Puzzle that's wonderful news I love your content so I am super excited to hear that we're going to get a lot more puzzles solved. But I mostly love your enthusiasm and excitement in your voice when you're solving them. And yes of course I watched your video right to the very end

When you found the first magnet, it made sense to me how to solve it. And just like the other pins, the front pin in the pull-out drawer is to prevent the unaware from flipping it upside down and opening it without first solving it.

It also helps that I've watched enough Chris Ramsay videos to know what to expect from certain puzzle designs

Did no one else notice that the correct magnetic positions have very faint circular marks on that brass plate? Not that it matters that much for there are only 6 positions but still.

Only to be helpful, at 2:36 it’s "cast metal", not "casted metal".

10:42 from what I gather that pin is to keep you from bumping it open since if you turn it upside down the other pits would open but that 1 pin would keep in closed

That pin that comes out when you turn upside down stops you from cheating.
