These types of merchants are the reason labor laws should be enforced much higher.

Those that survive make their own decisions. Greed is a disease, it cares for no one. This example is heartbreaking.

Surely at least one of the workers has a recording or text etc, to prove they were threatened with being fired if they left. I hate to say this, but unless they were tied up or locked in, they could have and should have left as soon as the river started rising, even if they only had 10 min to get out. I mean no disrespect to the deceased. My sympathy is with all those affected, Stay strong.

hopefully they go out of business for this sort of behavior.

I bet there was a time when some ill-informed CEO of some other company told this CEO that as long as no employee dies on the actual worksite he can’t be held responsible. He probably figures that if the whole area surrounding the worksite is impassible, and even if the worksite building becomes so inundated with water that it collapses, as long as he tells employees to leave 2 minutes before the building collapses, he probably thinks he wouldn’t have any liability. Sorry, buddy, but you need to have written detailed emergency plans.

There should be a law while they’re on the job, to leave before hurricane landing, specially when mandatory. If they want to our ride at their own home, let the take the risk on their own!

The CEO is an animal...
But, he himself, probably thinks he's a good man...
That's the messed up part ..

Those that survived should be angry because of the trauma this company chose to implement a stay at work policy. If they were monitoring it they should have known what was coming! God bless those that didn't make it

All you managers are guilty, you will not be forgiven for your greed. Put your bibles down you won't need those anymore.
