In this video I tell you what you need to know before you buy Planet Zoo in 2024. I Review and answer the question on whether or not Planet Zoo is good and worth it. Should you buy / play Planet Zoo in 2024? It is in my opinion the best zoo builder/ simulator game out there, the base game is amazing, and the DLC can add a ton of stuff too. It is by far the best looking zoo builder, with potential for hundreds of hours of gameplay and replayability.

Now there are of course pros and cons to the game. So in this video I give you the facts about Planet Zoo so that you may decide for yourself if this game is for you. But I'd highly recommend buying and playing Planet Zoo

I bought this game the last year and I play it for long periods of time, this is my vice right now and it just makes me want to buy all the DLCs. By the way I get to play it decently on a GTX1650Ti, i7 10k, 30 to 60 fps on medium high graphics, depending on on how much stuff is on screen but so far getting pretty stable temps, 69 to 71°.

The fact that you have to plan/hook up basic utilities ruined it for me. It's too in depth for my taste. (And the Zoo tycoon remaster is too simple)

I've bought it since it was just out and here are extra thoughts of mine which weren't in game :) (300+ hours)

- buy it when it's on sale!! It's an awesome and beautiful game but it's pretty much the same, not worth $40

-dlc isn't that needed there are tons of animals for free + dlc is harder to get/sell animals

- there are a lot of different coat variants on a lot of animals (example with timber wolf you've got dark grey wolves, light grey wolves, and even melanistic coated wolves) it's a very nice touch and makes it a bit more realistic

-it might be hard in the beginning as you need to do a lot and think of a lot but it'll be worth it

-it's an online game which if you want a specific animal you've got to wait till someone sells it

- the max 200 animals in your storage may sound a lot but trust me if you have a lot of zoos its not enough

-inbreeding, nice touch but a lot of times when I buy 2 animals I forget to look who's selling them so I spended a lot on accident by buying sibings which I'm not going to breed together (inbreeding)

-(this might be me but who knows) it's a game you'll play for hours, get bored of it, time later you'll play it again

-another realistic thing, I wouldn't recommaed doing this in your actual zoo, but in sandbox theres prey and hunter things. Putting a gazelle in a lion exclosure you'll see the gazelle running a lot and might even see a lion hunting/killing it

took me many tries and putting the game down before finally realizing how great this game can be. now i have 50 hours into it and i think about it in my sleep, love it.

Your review helped me get the game, and now I have about 70+ hours in it, with gold in every one of the base campaign levels (on Easy)! xD So thank you! Absolutely love this game, and if there was anything I was stuck on that the tutorial didn't cover, I was able to google very quickly so frustration never lasts too long! I've picked up some of the DLC's and haven't gone through their campaign modes yet, but I'm excited to!
