Boxing legend "Sugar" Shane Mosley, three-division world champion and boxing hall of famer, rates every "Rocky" and "Creed" movie for realism.

Mosley breaks down the iconic boxing scenes in "Rocky," starring Sylvester Stallone, such as the training montage and the first match between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed. He further explains boxing styles and tactics in "Rocky II" and "Rocky III," such as jabs, uppercuts, hooks, and knockout blows. He also looks at other boxing movements, as well as the reality of injuries and safety protocols in boxing matches in "Creed" and "Creed II," starring Michael B. Jordan. Mosley additionally breaks down the most recent installments of the franchises, discussing different weight classes in "Rocky IV"; the real-life boxers in "Creed III," such as José Luis Benavidez Jr.; and the realism of fighting at an older age in "Rocky Balboa." Mosley also references famous fighters throughout the scenes, such as Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, and Andre Ward, and he connects all the scenes to his own experience.

Mosley is a three-division world champion and boxing hall of famer who has been boxing since he was 8 years old. He has held multiple world championships in three weight classes, including the International Boxing Federation lightweight title; the World Boxing Association (WBA) and World Boxing Council (WBC) welterweight titles; and the WBA (Super), WBC, and The Ring magazine light middleweight titles. He was also a lineal champion at welterweight and light middleweight. He was inducted to the International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2020.

The way he's brutally honest about a sport he devoted his life to, especially how boxing looks now compared to when he was boxing...definitely didn’t hold any punches back, no pun intended.

Man RIP Carl Weathers looked fantastic in the ring - excellent body language delivering the drama

Great insight from one of the greats, but I don't consider the Rocky and Creed movies as purely boxing films. They are more about life and love, focusing on the relationships between Rocky and Adrian and Adonis and Bianca. The boxing elements serve as a metaphor for the financial and personal challenges we face in life.

Dude probably won so many fights from his opponents being fixated on his mesmerizing eyes.

I've boxed all my life from aged 14 to now 56. 7 years competitively. I'm still in the gym 4-5 days a week. It was after seeing ROCKY III that I wanted to learn to box. Clubber Lang rocks!!! Mr T, threw some amazing hooking punches. Especially considering they weren't making contact. Very skilled.
I'm still in love and addicted as much now as I was when I started. I also think, that as long as you're still in love with the sport, you never stop learning. My style has changed many times over the years, as I've become interested in different ways of moving, angles and footwork.

Great to see honest analysis from Sugar SM. It's good to know that the films are largely realistic, well as realistic as a Hollywood story can be. I wonder how much real boxing training the actors had to put in to achieve he level of fitness and technique to make the films. I learned a lot - top video!

Shane Mosley gave all to boxing and fought everyone. My favorite fight was when he beat down Margarito, great performance late in his career. When he was at 135 he was amazing, blazing fast and powerful. Unfortunately also took damage from boxing.

I respect Sugar Shane Mosley so much and to see him in this video damn near punch drunk, hurts my heart.

Glad he mentioned Ward-Gatti. What an epic trilogy of fights. 1 and 3 won fight of the year, and 2 only didn’t because it occurred in the same year as 2.

Great commentary by Sugar Shane. It could be great to see Shane Mosley comment on his own fights. He is really a great boxer

My favorite boxing movie is When We Were Kings. An amazing movie documenting the Ali Forman fight. Just so well executed and got into the minds of the fighters as well as the commentators.

Sugar doesn't have to mention who he's fought before the video. We know... oh, we know. BEAST.
I was REALLY hoping they had Million Dollar Baby as one of the films. Oh well.

I wish they gave him other movies outside of the Rocky franchise like Southpaw

I think Mr. T should have gotten a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the Oscars for Rocky 3. He was excellent in that movie.

Good rating Champ, nice to see you're doing good. One of the 3 to deserve the nickname "Sugar".
