1:23 -- actually, NORMAL signs are one of the most pixel-incosistent things in the game. We got used to them, but they're... just awful compared to other blocks.
Also, fun fact! When signs were first added they were entities and actually were pixel-consistent with every other thing in the game! But then they're became blocks with smaller model, but kept their oversized texture and keep it to this day.

The middle item is a Crafting Table On A Stick from the mod Actually Additions. It's basically a crafting table but you do not have to place it down to use it, you just have to use the item to open the crafting table UI. It has infinite durability.

Honestly I would add the wither storm as a really hard to reach boss that could (maybe) unlock a portal to a new dimension when killed. It seems like an awesome side challenge that would give the story of Minecraft a really fun twist.
