The Birding Sights and Sounds of the Karoo

We are going to use the Karoo, with all its beauty and high levels of endemism, as a back-drop to focus on how to bird both by sight and by ear. Birds are fantastic to look at, (even the LBJs) so we are going to take you on a tour of the Karoo while discussing some of the ID challenges one could face, but we also plan to focus on the calls. Birding by ear is a very underrated and highly rewarding way to experience birds so we want to share some of our experience on this topic.
