Makes me miss the old days! We used to go camping on the East Coast in Canada, we would dig clams. We fried them up but also simply boiled them. Had feasts! We'd buy scallops and shrimps. Mom would simply dredge them in flour, pan fry them.
Thanks for sharing! Take care.

Nothing better than New England fish fry and lobsters. We got 12 lobsters when we were in York Maine in July for 4.99$ a pound ! Can’t beat that with a stick ! Steamed em up and dipped them in melted salted butter. I ate 3 myself.

Back in the 70s, three generations of my family would all go together to a place called Charlie’s in Brant Rock Ma. A tiny yellow joint right on the rocky shore line. Oh the smell of those Fried clams and oysters with the ocean salty air !

Myself and most of my family worked there in the 50’s and 60’s. A clam plate was $1.25!

A trip here was a rare treat when I was a kid 60-odd years ago. It was a not too often gift from quite less than wealthy parents for hungry for seafood kids. This North Shore area of Massachusetts makes a lovely October drive. It is not nearly as rural as it once was but the area still has its unique smaller town charms, particularly ancient Jacobean architecture museum houses.

The Clam Box was our favorite stop on the way to or from Crane's Beach or Topsfield Fair! Best ever! Fried clams without bellies? ಠಿ_ಠ

We have some pretty good fried seafood down the coast. But don't look half as good as clam box.

I live where Hood Canal and Puget Sound come within a couple of miles from another. In Mason County Washington. We are seafood addicts by birth. I could eat it every day.
