Our Awesome 19 Days in Saltillo, Mexico

We spent 19 days in the Northern, Mexico city of Saltillo. It is located in the rarely touristed State of Coahuila. The city has beautiful architecture, delicious food, and very friendly people. Best of all, it all came at a very affordable price.

Thank you for showing a lil about our great city. We are very welcoming to tourists. I strongly recommend to go to a Baseball game, our local team, Saraperos de Saltillo, is a complete different experience from a regular MLB game where is more family friendly. While still family friendly, Mexican baseball fans tend to be a lil more wild! Also, another great part of saltillo is about 10-15 min drive where you can go to Monterreal or a lil town called San Antonio de las Alazanas. It’s up in the mountains but it’s so pretty that it looks like friggin Switzerland. Forest, woods, organic apple, it snows pretty much every winter and you can ski all year long! Imagine an unexplored Aspen with Mexican prices!

Also, 1:30 min away driving west, we have Parras de la Fuente, we have the most ancient wineries of the continent! They’re not only ancient but also fancy and upscale. (Thomas A. Edison also lighted that lil town as an experiment before any other city in the world!)

You seemed to Miss El museo de las aves. Or Birds museaum of México. There are About 2500 Birds live and stuffed. The showrooms and collection is impressive . I really enjoyed it

They have a special clinic in this city for our son. We are thinking about spending 3 months here next winter and have him attend the clinic.

I spent five days in Saltillo this summer & didn't hear a single firecracker explosion. (I currently live in noisy Oaxaca.) Did you hear any firecrackers during your visit? Thanks for any info.

Lovely video. I have a house in el centro saltillo and recognized many places . one FYI, that wasn't saltillo tile you were showing. It's a solid terracotta color and very specific to the area

As a Mexican I think Saltillo it’s pretty quiet is not very tourist as other cities in Mexico but is nice to visit

My saltillo cant wait to go next month for the day of the dead celebration.good choice of places. But you guys dont when to the museo o las catrinas, casa purcelle, museo of the revolucion, museo el Sarape, and some iconic restaurants like La villa de Santiago ( the by the way is a old iconic house in the center historic) other good restaurant El cabrito goat El principal. EL CASINO DE Saltillo. The park Francisco Imadero iconic( CIUDAD DEPORTIVA.
