Sounds great, and that binding on the body is classy.

now I want one of those :) Actually I built one of those but put a hot rod bridge and a single coil in the bridge position and the Fender humbucker in the neck. Same as the ones on that guitar. My brother is a descent guitar player and he liked it best of all my builds so I gave it to him for his birthday

When I first started playing guitar I thought I wanted an Explorer. A buddy's brother had just got back from basic and bought one and I had a chance to play it. I then went over to this guy's house who worked with my dad. He owned a Thinline Deluxe. I played it and I've been a Tele player ever since. Yeah I've owned Strats, SGs, and LPs even a Flying or 2 but never an Explorer. Funny how life works. Anyway, beautiful guitar and equally outstanding playing. You'll get Johnathan next time.

Reminds me of the Tele Deluxe a friend of mine used in a punk band in the early 80's except his was a lot more beat up and sported several stickers.

That gold or brown color on the pickguard is fantastic. If only we're able to get that on a Standard.

i never thought i would want a Deluxe Tele, I'm changing my mind about that . What amp are you playing through . Are you using anything other than bridge pickup to get that edgy overdriven sound pedal or channel switch on amp sounds great !

thats odd now that I see the back. I thought the 72's had only 3 screws holding a triangular neck plate on. I built mine with four the same as that

great playing. Jonathan should have a go thru his magnavox (imagine if magnatone and vox merged ) on one these fender tele custom shops. Or he can't play cuz like have to change the strings before the customer comes to pick it up.

Beautiful guitar! I was really disappointed by the CuNiFe pickups in my CS Tele Deluxe Thinline. I was hoping they'd have the same tone as the real ones in my '76 Tele Deluxe. Sadly, they have a totally different sound: much thinner and brighter, very sharp and harsh; more like a single coil. The real ones from the '70s (the ones in mine, at least) are much darker, thicker, warmer, and fatter. Not trying to scare anyone away from this beautiful axe but you should know they are not the same.

If you could, would you add a looper for rhythm part and play a slow Wiskey Blues lead with this guitar over it. I love these guitars. Thanks.
