Thanks for this booklist. I teach non-Western World History in the middle of the US. I was already debunking several Eurocentric myths, such as the Aryan invasion and the story of colonialism, but these will give me some additional solid data points to anchor my story.

If you are interested in books on Indian History and love reading in general then please buy yourself a copy of ' The Brainwashed Republic ' by Neeraj Atri & Munishwar Sagar . While the book is not specifically on History, It highlights the topic of how entire generations of Indians have been lied to and manipulated when it comes to our History .

I'm someone who only recently found out about my own history (The goan Inquisition).Reading the book just broke my heart...My ancestors migrated from Goa and settled in Karnataka because of the inquisition and because nobody ever talks about it, it was quite literally forgotten. I never questioned why I live in Karnataka and speak Konkani, and still go visit temples all the way in Goa .Thank you so much for recommending this on your channel. It suprises me how less we know about our own country's history and the education system has not been helpful.
