I can really relate to this. When you hear creationists saying stupid shit, you go investigate for yourself, and behold, i know 100 times more about math, physics, biology, chemistry, history etc. now than i did before i listened to the first creationist. Keep them coming!

Just watched all the videos in this series for a second (maybe third) time. You did a great job with these, Tony. Easy to understand, insightful and to the point. Thanks for all your hard work!!!

Your videos are well produced, you really investigate stuff with intellectual honesty and you speak English so clearly that even I am able to understand it. You deserve waaaayyy more views than you have.

Please keep it up.

This is your best video yet.  Lots of stuff I didn't know.

I have to admit, I was angrily typing up a butt-load of responses to this video up until I realized what it was. Well done, sir. Well done.

Another great video. It's been a while since there was a worthwhile youtuber that made actual science video's. You need way more subscribers.

Thank you, Tony for yet another episode of HCTMRS. They're really interesting & take me back to my Year 12 Chemistry classes. Whenever I see a new upload in my subscription feed, it makes my day. Keep up the excellent work :)

Great video. When reading published experimental results it amazes me how rigorous the process is and how much scrutiny is necessary to become published. I wonder if creationists have any clue as to what the process is like when they flippantly dismiss the scientific method. btw the shot of you in high school made me wonder "Did Bill Cosby know you had his sweater?"

The Miller Urey Experiment is the best anti creationist experiment.

What I learned from this video is that I have some reading to do... you mentioned a lot of research I hadn't heard of yet!

Tony - I love this series! Thank you for making a real attempt at keeping creationists HONEST while maintaining integrity in the process! No easy task!!

New mic for Christmas? Great video, I learned more about the potential origins of life from this video than I have ever done.

I first heard about Miller-Urey when I was about 10 or 12 from a TV documentary when I should have been playing outside ...  I was floored.

But it's only years later when I was in grad school working on pattern formation, symmetry breaking, etc., that it became clear: matter has no choice *but* to create complex structure.   That's because the substrate isn't formless but has discrete (not continuous) symmetries, with some configurations being more stable than others.  This means that the randomness invoked by creationists isn't what one might think when hearing the word "random": it it's white noise, far, far from that.   And then the "complexity theory"  crew has shown how far these principle reach, complete with artificial life etc.

Molecules with the complexity of the amino acids have no choice but to appear from "primordial soup" if there's enough energy and the right environment.

Great perspective on abiogenesis.

This video doesn't have nearly enough dislikes. And I mean that in a positive way. More creationists should stumble upon it thinking it's permitting their views. Or maybe your video was just so good that it convinced them?

The title caught me. Almost no Creationist want to learn anything, since knowledge is the enemy of creationism believes.

Here’s what I find funny. Creationists dismiss the idea life can come from non life... unless God did it (Genesis 2:7). Sure God is alive, in their belief, but I’m unaware of any living thing that can breathe on dust and create a human.

We don't even have yet a coherent and all encompassing definition of life.
I never understood why the Miller Urey Experiment was depicted as a failure, it was actually a success, the results were even more positive than what was predicted.
