Another way to save money is using a lower grade, or the lowest grade possible on a "shelf-ready" movement. Such as standard and elabore grades on ETA and Sellitta movements.

Some of them have fancy misspelled italian names and the videos they produce to present their product, always shows big bags of $ in savings and crosses on the middlemen. That has to be true.

In 1990 l bought the Speedmaster reduced with a leather stap. The supposedly metal buckle turned out to be chrome plated plastic ugh!
