Will Halo Ever Recover?

First, a lot of people who worked in Halo at Bungie are not there anymore. As far as I know, the majority of them have splitted into different studios, some are actually working at 343.
And I believe MS wasn't planning in giving it back to them anyways, so the purchase from Sony's part doesn't have any impact in the franchise, neither anything to do with "preventing" Halo to be made by Bungie.

Bungie gave up the license, they wanted to work on other projects. Microsoft didn't just hand it over to someone else. Bungie has gone on record many times saying they were done with Halo, so giving it back to them would just bring out a cold shell of a game.

That's stupid, Bungie to my knowledge said they never want to work on another halo game, so it's a fruitless endeavor to ask plus the original Bungie is no longer there all those people left and have been replaced

Giving it back to bungie would actually be a horrible idea, not many people want to admit this, but bungie has fallen off, it doesn’t act like it used to, and really has been falling as a developer for a while, the only thing they do anymore is update Destiny 2, and many of the newer updates are fun yes, but how bungie works now, it would now be a good things for them to come back

You missed the part where Bungie left Microsoft due to Bungie wanting to make something new and different after Reach but Microsoft wasn't having it so they split off and became their own thing... Which is how Destiny came to be
