I was in the live audience for this at Anime Boston, and I think what is so profoundly special about this amv in a live space....is the audience and the solidarity. It's one of my favorite amvs of all time, and I have watched it many times here on Youtube, but I will never recreate sitting in the AB audience, and seeing Lupin, and Harlock, and cheering, seeing Utena and Anthy and screaming, and hearing all the Harlock and Lupin and Utena fans cheer with me. You can hear your people around you. There are so many series in this video that get a huge reaction, the big names, yet listen - and the cheers are different each time. It's never just the same roar of the audience - the cheers for JoJo are totally different than the cheers for Sailor Moon. Your people are there with you in your cheers.

This is an amv that is truly meant to be enjoyed live, and I'm so glad to have gotten to see the live reaction here as well. Thank you.

Total badassery! As though we've traveled through many universes getting to know these unique characters that shaped our childhood, teen, and adulthood. It's more than just a nostalgia trip because when we look back on any of these titles, you can tell how they've transcended time.
