Just pulled my 3” spacers out and installed these 5100’s front and back. I added a tiny 1/2” spacer because I already have a 1” block lift in the back. Rides 1000X better, and I didn’t lose any lift. My truck sits dead level even with an off-road rear bumper, and a shell full of camping gear. Love it!!!!

Thanks for this vid. Been looking to add only about 2" to my 16 CM. Definitely a great way to go.

Installed the 5100 on the top setting like you suggested and truck is perfectly level! Ride is smooth not harsh like everyone was saying. Not even stiff just smooth and planted. Did you install the bump stop spacer? I tried to unscrew the spacer with channels then pipe wrench 😳 and they would not come out. Feels like a new truck. I would have hated the middle setting now that all is said and done. Its perfectly level with a 38 gal tank full and nothing in the bed. If tank was empty I would have less then 1/4” rake to the front.

Shocks and struts were still good on the 2017 crewmax 65k miles but For $350 totally worth the upgrade in ride quality and looks. Thanks again!

I’m glad yours rides great!!I put a new set of 5100’s on a 2011 pro4x and now much other options out there for pro4x just for leveling.yes I’m running 2 sizes bigger tires 35/11.50..the pro4x is off road package so it comes factory 1” higher the 5100’s in top notch levels truck out but the stiffest ride I’ve ever experienced you feel every bump like hitting a wall..down 1 notch not much difference..still looking for other options no I’m not lifting the truck and no I’m not spending 1500+ for junk Fox..

So you’re running +18 offset wheels. What size tires? I have a 2016 tundra with 5100’s at top setting and want to try and go to a 34-35” tire with a wheel that has a +10 offset. I’m worried I’ll get into rubbing. Right now I have a 33” with OEM wheels no rubbing.

What setting on the 5100 adjustable did you use, 1.5" or the highest?
I put then on 2002 Tundra 4x4. The instructions said for the Tundra you use the 1.5 inch setting only.

Been looking everywhere for some answers. And you explained plenty, thanks. I’ve been subbed to you for about a month 👍🏾.
I’m doing the same set up.
I don’t go muddling or wheelin but i do get myself into some sketchy areas when I go out fishing 🏔️. I really just want to fit some 34’s with 17-18” wheels.
I’m thinking maybe start with Getting some Bilsteins 5100 like you and set them to the very top as well.
It’s been 2 years, have you had any issues? I’ve read that some like putting them at the middle setting with some coach builder .50 shims. Do you happen to have the model # on the shocks? I’ve seen the Bilstein 5100 with a B8 version.

So the 5100 in the front on the highest setting is perfectly level? With the rear being stock?

Did you notice the tundra lean now that the shocks have settled up front. I notice on mine it’s about a half inch higher on the passenger side. Curious if it changes after you install the bilstien shocks. Or do you need to add a shim to the drivers side.

How did you get 1/2” in the rear when Bilstein says there is no lift with rears installed? Do you have a block?

Hey nice truck! Does this lift with stock springs? I know this is Tundra channel but I have a ram 2500 and just trying to find something better than the hockey puck kits.
