The colony of Sydney was in trouble, food was in demand and there was a drought, farming and grazing land was needed urgently to save the colony. Many explorers tried to cross the Great Dividing Range and failed.
On the 200th Anniversary of the first european crossing of the Blue Mountains a small group of enthusiasts re-enacted the trip of Blaxland, Wentworth and Lawson.
