Same chuck I just bought, good quality. They don’t give you the bolt circle, but you can figure it out with a rotary table making a new back plate

I would have a 5C collet system over the ER type any day, they are a pita. My reservations with a 5C on the Myford is the weight and hang out beyond the lathe nose.

Very nice. I've considered getting an ER32 collet chuck for my Chinese Mini Lathe (King Canada 7x12), as I already have ER32 collets for my wood lathe collet chuck.

When you change collets there is a WHOLE lot of chuck key work... PITA. I made a key for a cordless drill to make it quick and easy.

I think you can get a cover for the collet holder which gives you a place to rest your hand when doing hand deburring on the lathe.

Having said that, I've never seen one on a myford lathe.

That backplate sounds like cast iron, you should be careful when machining that stuff to cover the ways as the dust makes excellent grinding paste. Why go to 5c collets, I thought you already had a set of er32's courtesy of your mates at
