Coset as an Equivalence Class - Chapter 5 - Lecture 9

In this video we begin with a subgroup H of a group G and define a relation on G. We prove that this is an equivalence relation on G and then we prove that the equivalence classes under this relation are precisely the left cosets of H in G. Hence it now makes sense as to why the properties of left cosets are like the properties of equivalence classes.
