When citizens exempted from filing I.T returns are only those with taxable income below Rs.2.5 lakhs, it makes no sense to extend the EWS reservation benefits to socially advanced sections earning upto Rs.8 lakhs per year. Govt. should consider keeping income criteria much lower than the ceiling so that poorest of the poor can be benefitted in education and jobs.
