I’ve long suspected that successful comedians are highly intelligent in that they not only have a keen awareness of some deep truth about what’s going on around them, but then can turn around and distill it down in ways that people can relate to.

With that said, it’s really striking to hear him go deeper beyond the usual sound bites here.

Plus, it’s hard for me not to notice how Zelenskyy seems way more effective than Trump when utilizing his skills and resources from his career as an entertainer. Maybe it’s because he’s been wielding his talents for a broader purpose other than for himself.

World Leaders: "Oh he's such a great leader! Slava Ukraine!"
Zelensky: They're mowing down civilians. Send the MIGS!
World Leaders: "Our thoughts and prayers are with you!"

Many of us, ordinary citizens, feel the urgency of what you feel. It keeps us awake, glued to sites from Ukraine; I feel like a ghost, walking along side of you, Ukraine, and can do nothing to change what's happening, yet, with a prescience, seeing all the tragic inevitabilities that can happen.. This slow, grinding machine of diplomatic intervention can bring immense help, but only if it acts urgently. He's begging the civilized world to act quickly before it's too late. So are we. Being a ghost is hard....
